One of the best defenders in the 2015 Pink Batts Heartland Championship, Lindsay Horrocks was a standout at halfback for Wanganui.

With his solid pass, Horrocks played a pivotal role in Wanganui's 2015 Meads Cup success, including scoring a try in the Final, which Wanganui won 28-11 over South Canterbury in Timaru.  He played in all 10 of his team's Heartland Championship matches this year and started nine of them.

Originally from a farm near Paraparas in Wanganui, after boarding at New Plymouth Boys High School, Horrocks returned to the farm but stayed connected with Taranaki through Inglewood United - a decision that meant a lot of commuting. Horrocks returned to Wanganui in 2013 when he signed on with Border RFC and made his debut for the Butcher's Boys that year, appearing in all nine matches that season and scoring a try in the Lochore Cup semifinal loss to Buller.

In 2015 Horrocks was recognised with selection in the Heartland XV and played in all three matches against New Zealand Marist and the Australian Barbarians.
