Sir Colin watched the interview - in which he talks about his legendary career from 1957-1971 – with his All Black brother and locking partner Stan, sister Joan Daniel, wife Verna and children Glynn and Shelley.
Shelley, his youngest daughter, says it was a great trip down memory lane for her Dad.
“Dad watched it intently and really enjoyed seeing the footage of his playing days.
“It brought back a lot of memories of a time in his life that he loved. It made him happy at a time when he was struggling with his health, and not always having the best of days.
“It was so nice seeing Dad enjoying the interview. He got a lot of pleasure out of watching it and for me, it was wonderful that he was able to do this interview, and leave such special memories for our family and the rugby public who supported him as an All Black and after his playing days were over.”
